Maybe I should rephrase my question.

is there something wrong with the 46 inch single stage blower?

some weak point or was it just a poor seller?

Hi Ron,

I know there is an aftermarket manufacturer of snowblowers that club members have used on Simplicity tractors. I can’t remember the name either Belco or bercomac. From what I remember the snowblowers were two stage and did a very good job.

Sorry I know that isn’t a lot of help but maybe this will jog someone’s memory.

Good luck

Rick.....

I think 42 is as big as they went on the Sovereign Series.  I believe there were 46" for some of the bigger tractors?  Sunstar, Legacy, maybe Prestige?  Others will have to chime in.

I agree with the Sovereign statement, but not sure the 46" was offered for the SunStar.

There was a 46" offered for the Prestige and I believe the Conquest as well.  Here's a 46" mounted on a Prestige:

I see them come up for sale occasionally.

Why did Simplicity quit making 46 inch snowblowers?

I'm guessing they consolidated the offerings for cost savings - both inventory and unit manufacturing.

As you said, I believe they only offer 42" single stage and two stage for all current tractors.

"price is firm and will go up closer to winter" Wonder why he still has it and had to relist it. Too much then and still high now.

I saw that one.

1100 $$$

Yeah, no question.  I was more pointing out the 46" and the tractors it was for.  At half that price I would have to think real hard about it and really, really have to have a 46" blower.
