Another Sunstar added to the fleet

Recommended Posts

Other than ebay, I have never participated in an auction. However, when I saw that a local auction included two Sunstars, I started participating!

One of the units had a snowblower and cab. That unit sold for $1150. (my highest bid was $850).

The second unit came with a Johnny Bucket Jr, a newer "48 snow blade and a "60 mower deck. I won it for $675. It runs like a top. I could tell that the previous owner (who passed away - the reason for the auction) took really good care of it.

As you can see in the pictures, it also has a newer seat with armrests. There is an amber flashing LED light mounted to the front. There are also four lights mounted on the rear, but I haven't found out how to turn those on yet.

You can also see the AG tires all around. The wheels have weights and there is a large round slab of steel mounted on the back for more rear ballast.

It also came with original "Operator's Manual" and a "Do-it-Yourself Service Manual"  (I already have a copy of the service manual that I downloaded from this site)

I am most excited about the Johnny Bucket Jr..

Sounds/looks like a pretty good buy. I love the local auction market. Especially the consignment sales. I drag home lots of what everyone else wants to get rid of. Not much for local auctions here the last year though ....

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
