Missed it by that much...

So I tried to mount the rototiller on the 7112. I almost feel like Maxwell Smart on this one, because yes missed it by that much...

You can see in the pic that there is about an eighth of an inch interference between the large pulley and the hydraulic filter.

Many years ago I tried to mount an old 725 round top tiller on a 7018H and had the same issue. I had to use a newer flat top tiller.

Interesting.

In this package:

Was this tiller:

The son of the PO sold me the package.  I always assumed the PO used the tiller on the replacement tractor.

Based on your experience, I was wrong.

One should never assume.

A slight reconfiguration of the filter may be the quick cheap fix.

I do not think filter relocation will allow the PTO mule drive to work as the 7018H had the remote hydro filter mounted between the side plates.

Actually, the PTO mule drive needs to turned around in the picture above.

I did not recommend relocation.  If it was already a remote filter, the point would be moot. I recommended reconfiguration of the filter itself.  This can be accomplished with precise tools and surgical care.  I might use a hammer and a block of wood if all I needed was an 1/8".  Maybe something more delicate like a good heavy wrench if the hammer weren't immediately available.  Did I mention Redneck?
