Father in law had 3 or 4 various sizes he sold at dispersal auction couple of years ago.

Did not bring what they were worth, mostly because the auctioneer screwed up his timing and had to rush to beat a storm.

We used to use the biggest with a flat belt to run a large diameter bucksaw to cut slabwood for the woodburner.

In Ontario they used them to cut cedar shingles, grain separators etc.

Nice find . WE use to call them Hit & Miss machines.

We still call them Hit & Miss engines. They are a focus of the big Portland, IN Tri-State Engine show coming up in a couple of weeks.  Most every old iron show around here will have quite a few.
