Adding lights to Sovereign

I am adding lights to the top of my snow cab on my Sovereign. I've been running ot with halogen bulbs in the stock housing but want more light. I have an LED light bar that is 36 watts so I'd be adding 3.2A. I'm sure the alternator can deal witj that but could I get away with splicing it onto the existing light switch? I'd like on switch to run both sets. I'd expect I'd also need to fuse it with say a 5A fuse?

I run a separate box of switches mounted up high in my cab.  3 SPST momentary, lighted switches.  One for 2 small LED light bars, one for my rear "marker" lights and one for a flasher on top.  There are also 2 DPDT momentary switches for my rotation and chute control.  They're all on their own feed back to the battery, fused with a 10 amp fuse, if I remember right.
