pgellers 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2002 Hello, I recently purchased a used Agco Allis 1718H (Simplicity Landlord) w/50" deck, Hydraulic lift, B&S 18hp Vanguard, and hydrostatic drive. It had 753 hours on it when I bought it and I paid $500 which seemed like a good deal to me (??). I put a new battery in it, replaced the blades and did a bit of work to the deck and now it seems to be running and mowing great! My question is this: how can I determine which Hydrostatic transmission the machine has (mfg # and Ser #'s are missing on the tractor)? I believe it was made in about 1993 or 94 based on some date stamps on a few parts that I have found but I am not sure. The tranny has an external screw on filter on the lower right side as you sit on the tractor and the oil filler is accessed through a hole above the hitch, not under the seat as I have seen on newer models. Does anybody know which transmission model this would be? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Paul
