Just started mowing after work, I was going around my brother’s tractor and bumped into the tire. Immediately my 916 with the 18hp vanguard transplant started to smoke. I shut it down opened the hood and the crank seal was lying there in front of the engine. Never had that happen before. I will admit I did overfill the engine with oil when I changed it a few weeks ago, but still, sheesh. 768C9A72-E3CE-47D7-8197-D273519BCD1B.thumb.jpeg.508330c88fb0e548385a17ffd0ebc652.jpeg

Perform a compression test and check for a head gasket leak. When Commands have a head gasket leak they are known to push the crank seal out.

I can check that out but I’m guessing that the overfill was the majority of the problem.
