1920 charge pump repair

Hey all, I have a Deutz Allis 1920 (Simplicity 1691020) that has a leaking charge pump. It isn't a bad leak, but it is bad enough. The manual says I have to slide the engine forward so the shaft will come loose from the hydro unit. I don't suppose there is an easier way? I don't mind doing the work, but if there is a 30 minute fix rather than a half-a-day fix, I am all for that!

The engine will need to slide forward but only a couple of inches.  Four bolts, clutch/PTO drive belts, tunnel cover, and maybe the fuel line/hood.  Good idea to disconnect the battery.

Thanks Carl! I probably will keep on eye on fluid level and leave it alone for a little while. This is not my daily driver, so it's not a "have to fix right now" issue. I really like the tractor though! Can't believe how much power it has.
