I got the engine pulled out today to put the new coil in. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The frame and what’s left of the tractor will need to be power washed and degreased before the engine gets back in. Which should be all done hopefully in the next month, and then I can get it ready for mowing season.

@AustinDid you happen to replace the ignition coil with a Magnetron pointless ignition coil? If not, and you are interested the Magnetron coil is B&S P/N 398811 and the points flywheel has to be repolarized. I have a dealer close by who repolarizing them. PM me if interested.

@Bill725 I got a genuine briggs replacement coil from Sandy Lake Implement. I haven’t put it in yet, that’s a project for next week. But I have a feeling I have to pull a mouse condo, as my great grandpa would put it, out first LOL.
