Kohler 241 oil problems

I just put a new piston, rings, and valves in this 241. As soon as it started, oil was blowing by the front seal under the flywheel. Would the new rings etc produce enough crankcase pressure to blow oil by the existing seal that did not leak previously? I took the crankcase breather covering the valves apart to make sure that was put together correctly and it was. The shop that bored the cylinder cleaned the whole block, would the cleaner bother the rubber seal? I'm installing a new seal anyway but wanted to check here too. Thanks.

Personally I install new seals every time i go through an engine. Make you there aren't any burrs on the crankshaft journal the will be sliding through the seal along with applying automotive grease to the same journal. This all helps to protect the seal from getting ripped, torn, or mis-shapened.
