tripleguy
Was blowing snow a few, days ago and as I was backing into the garage, it was like a kill switch tripped when I shifted the drive PTO out of neutral. Tried it multiple times and it just wanted to die. Engaged the mid PTO for the blower and it did the same thing. Turned key to off and restarted and it was OK. Seems odd both switches were bad. Is this indicative of something else?? Thx
SmilinSam
Depending on the type and year of tractor most of the safeties just prevent starting and dont actually kill the tractor after its running.
PhanDad
Assuming the "Sovereign" is a late model, if your lucky it might be intermittent contact of the seat nanny (shifting weigh on seat?). If not that, then the Interlock Module (IM) - sometimes they fail in strange ways with age or heat. tripleguy
Thx Sounds like seat operator safety. I'm going to repost this in the general forum.
PhanDad
Just moved this post from the eBay/Craigs/MP forum back to here (Talking Tractors). Don't know how it got to the other forum. I'm also going to delete @tripleguy's duplicate (unanswered) post in this forum.

My seat switch is jumpered. Disconnected the wire clip where it runs to the seat switch and jumpered it. Where is the interlock module located? tripleguy
2 hours ago, PhanDad said: The connector is circled in red. Interesting. Looks like a mechanical wire block connector. Not sure how I'd troubleshoot that. I'll have to poke around when I pull the battery in a month or so. Thank you.
PhanDad
Yes, what I circled is the interlock connector. I think the interlock module is bolted to the side panel but you can't see it. Here's a pic of the connector with module currently listed on eBay: I don't know that you can "fix" them. Just clean all the terminals of all the safety wiring to ensure good electrical contact. Or rewire to match earlier Sovereigns to eliminate the module.
tripleguy
Thx. I'll have a look at it when I pull the battery for the season. I only use it for blowing.
