After much trial, error, and time I think the 917 is finally tuned in! The deck is now “perfectly” adjusted, the engine runs right and it mows just beautiful! I’ve mowed a few times since putting it back together but it’s always had some sort of issue. But tonight nothing, thankfully. My very last problem, that I had brought to my attention yesterday by @Chris727, was that when my idler pulley bracket when tightened down didn’t want to pivot. It was stuck completely frozen in place. However, after talking to Chris we determined the bushing/spacer in the bracket was frozen. After quite a fuss to get it out, clean it, grease it, etc, I got it working as it should. So as of now, the 917 is officially done.
