What years did the Sunstars not have the two speed transmission?

mine is a1996 and it doesn’t have it. John

I have an 03 or 05 I think that has a 2 speed, but no locker. Don't quote me on that but I know my dealer said it was in the 2000's.

Pretty sure the Sunstars were made from the  1987 model year(introduced in 1996) through 1997. After that the Legacy came out for 1998.

I think the single speed transmissions were in the base units  while the two speeds were found in the higher priced units. IE both single speed and two speed transmissions were made at the same time and placed in different models of the Sunstars/1900 series. I dont know if there was a year that one or the other was never made.

I was under the impression that all of the 20 horse had the 2 speed and locking diff.  18's maybe an option?  16's and 14's not at all.

My 1996 20 hp just has the two speed. No diff lock

That’s what I thought as well, and I still question it. I do have the Agco version far as that goes.
