Starter for a Onan engine

I went on Amazon and typed in Starter for a Onan Engine CCKB and it popped up $73.00 so i ordered it and it came and is the right one. Now all I need to do is heal up from my carpal Tunnel surgery and I will have a running 4041 again.

Pay attention to the install. If the old starter is a 10 tooth & the new starter is a 9 tooth, it will have to be shimmed. Bench test before installing so you don’t have to do this twice. I’ve had great luck having the old ones rebuilt. But definitely more than $73. Don’t throw your old one away. We are always looking for good cores to have rebuilt. P.M. me a few pictures if wanting to rid yourself of the old one.
