Austin Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 First time going to either a GOTO or to La Porte, the trip was nice to satisfy both. The show was quite a nice turn out I feel though I was informed this was nothing compared to previous years. I met quite a few club members for the first time, and was able to conduct some business as well. It was a very hot weekend, though as I left today a nice breeze was to be found. Overall it was a nice show and if they have it there again in the future I would go back. I also got to see Kent’s HB-216. It has been a bucket list wish of mine for quite a while. I’m happy to say @MarksA-C has taken exceptional care of it. And for anyone wondering about the forklifts, the early B10 surfaced probably close to a year ago now. However, the B1 was not discovered until a few days ago. ALL ORIGINAL!! I was told it was one family owned and was used at two different dealers during Allis’s reign. I was even informed that the original tech who installed it is alive but he is well into his 90’s. Both machines are under care of @Reed Brandenburg, but only the B1 is his. The B10 belongs to a fellow Facebook club member. 7

I was surprised to see the distance some people traveled to get there! There was some nice stuff at the Friday auction too. The toys and misc parts brought crazy money, the attachments and tractors all went very cheap though. Sadly I didn’t bring a trailer so I couldn’t bring any more lonely projects home. 🫤 Not that I need to anyways… Edited June 22, 2024 by Austin 1
gwiseman Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 Thanks Austin. Nice picture tour of the LaPorte GOTO. Been a few years since I was at that show but its a nice one with a lot of old Rumley and AC history. 1

RAinIn Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 I live in Laporte and didn't and have never been, but I've only gotten my tractor bug in the last couple of years. I most certainly will be there next year and hopefully meet some of you guys! That's if you're willing to answer a million questions 😜 1
