Viva-la-B-110 Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 I recently was able to pick up a tiller from PaulK on here and it has something on it I'm not sure of. Between the lower linkage arms there is a cross piece with a short length of chain and a U-shaped bracket attached. You can make it out in the picture I have attached. I didn't see it mentioned in the manual I printed off. Any ideas as to it's purpose? Quote
gwiseman Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 I need a clearer picture to tell what its for, or guess anyway. I have owned several tillers, have 2 nice ones in the shop now ready to use. None have had this so I can't say. Quote
Austin Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 It almost, hard to tell from the picture, looks like a tiller depth limit chain. Which was common on or factory installed on all AC Homelite and 300/400 series tillers. But as Gene said, a better picture or two would help. 2 Quote
Viva-la-B-110 Posted July 2, 2024 Author Posted July 2, 2024 Sorry, I'll have to get a better picture of it and attach. Assuming, that it is a depth limit chain I'll need some assistance on how to use it since this is my first tiller. Quote

Austin Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Yep, it is 100% a depth limit chain. This thread should give you a little bit of an idea on use. 2 Quote
