Source of parts for Johnson Model 14 loader

I just bought a Simplicity 9020 with a front end loader. The pump drips oil, not a lot, maybe a drop every couple minutes.  What model pump is used on this loader (I have an owner's manual, but it doesn't give any information.

Is there source for parts for those Cessna pumps, or a suitable replacement?

ALSO-- the data tag on my machine says it was built in 1973, but other information I have says the "System 9020" didn't start iuntil 1975.  Any info on the discrepancy?

Thanks,

Smitty

Cessna was bought by Eaton and Eaton was bought by Danfoss. Try contacting you local Danfoss dealer. Can also try Zwei Inc. in Wenatchee, WA.

Based on my experience with these pumps, if it’s leaking, it’s leaking from the front seal or the hose connections. If this is the only symptom & you have no lifting deficit, replace the seal or the connections. The seal should be easy enough to match up as it already gives you the shaft size of 7/16”. The biggest problem I can foresee is removal of the pulley from the pump shaft.

Thanks for the replies.

I was checking the fluids in the drop housing yesterday, and got a nasty surprise.  I couldn't detect any lube at the upper plug, so I pulled the lower plug.  The RH housing had about 1/4 cup oil in it.  The LH housing had a half a cup of water, then another cup of brown/black sludge with chunks.

I'm concerned my drip housing internals are toast, and want to pull them to see their condition.  From the parts manual it looks like all I need to do is remoive the wheel, then undo the bolts on the flat backing plate, and the housing with the bull gear will slide off, leaving the pinion on the tractor.  The bull gear is removed by removing the nut holding it on and sliding it off.  Is that correct?

If there is another string dealing with the drop housings, please point me to it.  I did a search for them under several different terms and didn't come up with anything.

Regards,

Smitty

Get your hands on the service manual. It may be even listed here in the files section. But you’ll have to spend the $10 club membership fee for access. It’s $ well spent.
