Hey gang,

Any tips on removing and reinstalling # 11 bearing assembly?

I don't find any real information about the removal and reinstallation.

I've got a new one coming. The original isn't totally wore out, but while I've got this off I thought I would replace it.

In my limited experience its just lightly pressed in much like a seal and can be driven out easily.  Pics of each side:

Okay well I'll find out soon. So I'm guessing then obviously with it off the shaft I'm going to be pushing it out what would be towards the bevel gearbox?

What about lubing the shaft?

Im my mind I'm thinking about lightly  "possibly" lubing it except the area where the keyway is .

I will make photo copy of service manual and send your way

Thanks to you all, I have the operator manual, parts manual, and large frame tractor manual.

I've been over each several times.I haven't seen anything about removal of that bearing although Phandad gave me some pointers.  Nothing about lubing that shaft so I'm just going to have to figure out as I go along.

So, I have replaced the bearing assembly. Phandad,  it came apart as easily as you stated. The bearing I removed was in better shape than I thought it would be, but I had a new one so I replaced it. Along with the wire clips and spring guides.

My next challenge is the woodruff key and shaft slot. I'm going to use the Loctite 660 procedure to hopefully avoid a BGB shaft replacement.

Well,I applied the 660 and primer per the instructions. I applied it to the woodruff key and slot, and I also applied it to the shaft around the keyway and clutch plate, to try and keep anything from slipping. It will have cured 48 hours later today and I will test it this weekend. 🤞

So this tractor is now in service. Ran it about 3 hrs today with no issues. So far so good 👍
