dav-1 Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 wasn't there a reference section at one time? i am trying to find a parts diagram and list for a Big Ten. in the 'research' section it shows 'parts list' but only covers some implements, not the tractors. i have a parts diagram of a 9hp Landlord that has the old style steering gear; i need the newer version. specifically, i am looking for part numbers for the spindle bearings in the front axle (154289 in the Landlord) and the needle bearings in the steering assembly Quote
PhanDad Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 You can download an AC parts Manual that includes the Big Ten in the Download Forum: https://simpletractors.com/files/file/32-b-1-10-12-big-ten-tractor-parts-book/ 1 Quote
dav-1 Posted September 1, 2024 Author Posted September 1, 2024 I have bookmarked the manual. Tomorrow I will try to get my daughter to print it (probably would be easier to go to Amscot). Thank you. Just after i made the post i decided to try letting the computer actually do the work. i simply asked it for a parts diagram. (i never 'ask' the computer'. maybe afraid of being shown up by a machine or something). it sent me diagrams from parts tree. think i got a washing machine part from them years back. didn't consider them for tractor parts. using their part numbers, i found nothing on ebay. i did go to Ace Hardware for something else and picked up 2 flanged bushings for less than one parts tree spindle bushing. i'll cut off the flange and loc-tite them in one side to see if it will work. out of the nine round hoods i have, one was rebuilt back in the late 90's so it just needs paint. one needs a bit of engine work and 3 are parts machines. even so, i have to watch my budget. i see a part and want to order it, times 4 or 5 so i'll have the parts for the next resto. Chris727 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Under the Research header, go to "cross reference" and it will give you the comparable Simplicity equivalent tractor and MFR#, in this case it is the Landlord 101. https://simpletractors.com/research/cross-reference/simplicity-to-ac/s_ac_pg1/ Then with that MFR number, go to: https://www.simplicitymfg.com/na/en_us/home.html Plug in the MFR# and it will bring up the manuals. I would suggest downloading any manuals you might need fairly soon as with the brand being discontinued the site may get shut down at some point. 2 Quote
