Horvik Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Hello: I am reassembling the cone clutch and need to know...on either side of the clutch spring there are two "retainers" . So does this "retainer" go against the first clip closest to the gearbox , OR is there supposed to be an addition washer in there? I read I think both ways of doing the job. thanks Quote

AC710 Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 As shown in this diagram, the clips fit in a groove in the shaft, and the retainers (inner spring guide and pulley) slide over the top of the clip and lock the spring on the shaft. You need an appropriate clamp to compress the spring and get it back together correctly. It is best to follow the service manual directions carefully to get things together correctly. 1 Quote
