Found a 7016 (I think) with a shuttle clutch for sale. Guy wants $250.00 for it. He says it runs, but I dont know how it could all of the wires from the generator and starter are cut off and the voltage regulator is unhooked. Metal isnt rusted too bad, but it has been painted silver. Rubber looks ok, I think the rearend is good, but I havent heard it run yet. Has rear lift, and mowerdeck (which I didnt see). He says the serial number on the motor puts it as being made in 1975. This tractor is going to take a lot of work. Is it worth 250.00? I would like to get it restored. ddh

See if he'll start it for you so you can drive it around. Some people don't like shuttles so they aren't that popular. Since it needs work try to get him down on the price. Make sure to check the shuttle mechanism for wear and the Bevel Gear Box. If those need attention too then I wouldn't pay $250 for it even if the engine were good.

It's in pretty sad shape, but yes I have a yellow plastic cap that I'm fairly certain is what you need. PM me your details and I'll get it out to you.

Try this web site for the previous message I reported that did not work for you guys.
The message is about a man in Arkansas who builds miniature vehicles out of old refrigerators that are drivable.
