B-112 differential problem

Recommended Posts

My son's B-112 came to a lurching stop. I disassembled the differential to find that the center "sun gear" which is keyed to the axle was completely stripped off to the root of the gear (not one tooth left). All of the planetary gears are in good shape, the bolts are in good shape (not bent), but there is a little play between the bolts and the sleeves that the planetary gears ride on, although the play is not extreme. There appeared to be plenty of grease in the housing also. I found it wierd that only the one gear was damaged, while the center gear was so totally destroyed. Anyone have an idea on this one? Thanks.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁

It's in pretty sad shape, but yes I have a yellow plastic cap that I'm fairly certain is what you need. PM me your details and I'll get it out to you.
