Newbie here; CFC 20L mower question

Recommended Posts

Hey all- I'm new on this forum. I'm looking at buying a used Simplicity CFC20L zero turn mower, and it needs hydro drive work( doesn't do hills very well). Does anyone have any experience with these units regarding reliability, parts availability, performance etc.? Thanks FLRyder FLRyder

To my knowledge there isnt a Zero Turn mower that is any good at all on hills. Its just a design thing,, they are designed for spinning around in tight circles and not for traction. I'd reccomend staying away from them unless you are mowing predominately flat ground. Sam

I have one of those mowers. They do a great job. Have not had any problems at all. Mine is 20 Kohler with 60 inch deck. They are geared very high, it was probably used on hills and that may have hurt the hydros. They do make kit to lower the gearing on them. Terry

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
