Guest Posted August 19, 1999 I am looking at a new Simplicity Broadmoor with 18 hp V-Twin Briggs and 50" deck for $4195. I'll be mowing a little more than an acre with several trees, mostly smooth ground with some smaller areas sort of rough. Is this a good dependable mower? Any history of specific problems? Is this a competitive price? I've been mowing this same ground with a JD 140 since 1974. Will I still be mowing with this Simplicity in 25 yrs? Thanks for any input. Al 6 Posted August 19, 1999 Hi That price you quoted is getting very near dealer cost. It is less than I would sell one for. So if you stay out of jail for stealing it, you should be mowing with it for a long time. They are a very good mower and if you want to wear it out take your vitamin pills and exercise so you are around when it goes. Seriously we have a lot of 30 yr old Simplicity s running back here. You can't go wrong unless its stolen. AL
Guest Posted August 20, 1999 I agree with Al. With a 50" deck you will just be getting warmed up and the "fun" will be all over! Make sure it will fit between all your obstacles.
