powermax_paul 1 Report post Posted June 26, 2002 My Dad is giving me an old Cenex brand lawn tractor (I think made by Murray?) Anyway, the tractor is junk but the 11hp Briggs I/C motor is fairly new. I wondered if it would fit in my B207, and if the shaft/mounting pattern is similar. Anyone know? Paul Kjorlie, The Norwegian
SmilinSam 2,825 Report post Posted June 26, 2002 I've put them in 728 and 738 tractors before. The bolt holes were in the right place. The engine fits tight right up against the gas tank. There would have to be some trimming done to the sheet metal and grill frame to accomodate the air cleaner and muffler. There might be problems with the clearance of the spark plug at the front with the grill too. As far as pulleys goes, just used the ones off the 207 on the newer 11 hp. Shaft size is the same diameter. Sam
HubbardRA 17 Report post Posted June 26, 2002 I agree with Sam. I put a V-twin Vanguard on a Murry that had an 11 B/S. Had to do some work on the sheetmetal and a little on the pulley mount. It works great. I just wish this one had a tractor to go with that motor. Rod H.
