Club Finances

Sorry I missed the scheduled chat. Kent told me that the issue of financial support for the club came up. With all that Kent has to do with maintaining the club I agreed to take the monkey off his back when it comes to the finances. Kent and I both agree that the club should remain free to the members. There is of coarse a need for money to pay server rent, etc. Rather than ask for donations I would like to offer the members something in return for their money. One idea is to offer club T-shirts. I would like feedback on this to see if the interest would warrant going ahead with the project. You can reply on the message board or email me. If you have any other ideas please let me know about those. Thanks, Tim

FYI. Don't know if you noticed, but I placed the first paid ad on the site last night. I've given price estimates to two others -- we'll see....

But it has to be more fun than making T-shirts... especially since I can't sew! 8o)

I appreciate this initiative to help make the club self-supporting. Count me in on a t-shirt....

Hi Kent, I just sent our new sponcer a letter for some information. I have been thinking of a sunshade for my tractor. How did you know to get someone that may suit my needs? Thanks Jackl--P.S. Yes might be alot better then making shirts for now anyway.

Hello glad I got on this site. I hope to upload a couple of photos of my Simplicity Broadmoor
Model 707 Tractor. I have replaced all the belts on it and installed a new ignition switch.
Have a mower deck which was in poor shape , repaced a couple of bushings and welded the
deck where there was some holes. The tractor and mower deck came from a friend and the
mower deck metal was getting pretty thin. Some new metal was put in it and we also undercoated the underside of the deck. This was done by my friend Greg Toulman.
I have not put the mower deck on the tractor yet, waiting for Greg to come home and give me a hand. Can you please tell me if there is a manual for the mower deck and where I could get one.
I would also like to get some moon wheel discs as well.
I will try and down load some photos of the tractor when my wife shows me how to.
I really love driving this tractor and also how well it is made compare today's tractors, especially the flexible rear end and the rollers.
      Tell the next time
      Paul
