Thank you for sharing this.   These were certainly high end products in their day, no question.  And their longevity supports that original investment, no question.

$5800 for a 919 with 48” deck. $6300 (fuzzy math) for a loaded 720 (rear PTO & three point) with mule & 60” deck. I know $500 was a ton in the early 80’s but I thought there would be a bit more span in the pricing. But you could also buy a 9 year old firebird for under 1K then too. My high school parking lot was full of them along with Chevelles, Camaros & Mustangs.
