Allis1965 Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Can anyone tell me if this is an original sweepster from a foot dragger? Or is it something someone Frankensteined together? I can’t seem to find out much information on these. Do they still make replacement brooms for them? I have never seen one for sale so have no idea what the value is. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 1 Quote
Brettw Posted April 6 Posted April 6 It does look to be setup for a Simplicity / AC front axle, but I'm not sure of the driven pulleys arrangements. Can't really tell from this picture. I'm sure others with more info on these series tractors will help out. Nice find if it will work and the price is right (and I have no idea what the "right price" might be). Quote
ShaunE Posted April 6 Posted April 6 As Brett says. It appears to be but I’m not entirely sure. I have one for the Powermax series & I can tell you that the bristle sections are available. Mine were purchased from a Bobcat dealer. Quote
JoeT&DMaker Posted April 7 Posted April 7 It almost looks like someone carved up a snow blower. The pulley arrangement from what I can see in the picture isn't the same set up as used on the Simplicity blowers. Joe.... Quote
s_stephen Posted April 7 Posted April 7 That is for the fdt I am not entirely sure how the belt runs but I know it is off of the engine crank shaft. Ben Montgomery has one like this with the same hitch mounted on his b1 with pictures and a video of it running on Facebook in one of the simplicity and allis groups 1 Quote
bkassulke Posted April 8 Posted April 8 A friend of mine who has one on a b-series says that this is the hitch for a b-series. I was questioning it myself, but I am more familiar with the rbt's versus the fdt units. 2 Quote
Allis1965 Posted April 9 Author Posted April 9 Thank you guys for your input, now I just have to decide if it’s worth the 7 hr trip one way to pick it up. 2 Quote
