I've got an Onan cckb for a 4041 simp. The mainjet is adjustable, how many turns out is it supposed to be set, called Onan, they don't have a clue. Thanks, George Tynwood

Hey George, According to my sometimes reliable Onan Manual, starting point is 1.5 turns out on both air & main. Then adjust 1/2 turn at a time by perfomance. Hope that helps, if it doesn't, let me know.......... JP

George, The way I adjust carbs on all engines is 1.5 turns, start the engine, open throttle wide open, turn adjustment till engine seems to run best, then turn clockwise till it runs rough, turn counterclockwise till it runs rough and set midway between. Then go to idle and adjust idle screw the same way. Rod H.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
