JohnA 0 Posted September 5, 1999 I have a line on a 7016H (don't know what year)with a snow blade and deck, and no hydraulic lift for just under $1000.00. I was wondering if anyone could tell me of any specific problems that I need to look for or any ential problems that may occur with that particular machine. I don't know anything about hydro's but am fairly familiar with the 7000 series Simps. I would also like to know the approx price of this machine when it was new. Thanks!! Les 4 Posted September 5, 1999 I have a 7016H w/Briggs. This is my second one. I sold the other one last year. The current one has the bevel(PTO transfer case) box out. It is common for these to go out on tiller tractors as the vibration takes its toll on them. Other than the box on a tiller tractor, not much else goes wrong if the tractor has had decent care. I had to put new bushings in the steering gear, no big deal, few minor things. The only hydros I have ever heard of going bad were either 25 year old Vickers, or Sunstands that had been improperly towed(the 7016 has a Sunstrand). If the engine is good and the tractor is in good shape, it should be worth the grand next spring and probably a little less this time of year. Good luck. These are great little tractors. Les 4 Posted September 7, 1999 That's a mid 70s model so I will guess that they were selling in the $4000 range back then. Anyone else take a guess as to the selling price back then (without looking it up)and then I will check later as to who is the closest. Today they are a little "fancier" and are on sale in the $6000 range.
