Reduced Blowout

Recommended Posts

Replaced the gull wing blades on my new Sovereign's 42" deck with straight blades. This recessed the blades into the housing about 1/2" so to compensate for the height change I lowered the deck 1/2" (8 turns on each adjustor). Too early to tell for sure but I think the blowout is greatly reduced (ground wet & grass damp). One good thing is that I now have the ability to cut higher than before. Will update the status of this when I crunch leaves this fall. Note that in addition to the straight blades I had to buy new splined washers since the hole in the blades is smaller than the ones in the gull wing blades.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁

It's in pretty sad shape, but yes I have a yellow plastic cap that I'm fairly certain is what you need. PM me your details and I'll get it out to you.
