Sickle Bar Swath Board Parts

Recommended Posts

Gang, I am working on drawings for the swath board, rod, and mounting bracket. I need dimensions and bend angle for the mounting bracket (P.N. 10 ). Also need someone who can look at the drawings versus the actual parts then tell me if I have the drawings correct or need to change some of the dimensions. Or, a volunteer who wants to make the parts from the drawings would work. It would be helpful if I could add the correct kind of wood to the swath board drawing. Please refer to the attached Simplicity parts book page. I am working on parts 9, 10, & 11. Thanks to all,

Roy. I don't know exactly how these parts look. I think you can make the bracket just the way it looks. It can mount straight to the rear with the rear edge about 8 inches higher than the bar. The only purpopse is to prevent the cut grass from entertwining with the uncut grass. I have used them both ways. Only time the board was necessary was when putting up hay. Made the raking easier. Rod H.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁

It's in pretty sad shape, but yes I have a yellow plastic cap that I'm fairly certain is what you need. PM me your details and I'll get it out to you.
