9020 and pow'rmax

I have had a 9020 for many ,many years. Recently my neighbor ended up with a pow'r max with 60" belly mount mower. He offered me the mower 500. bucks and I would use it in my choose and cut christmas tree farm. He drug it over but it won't fit my 9020? Why? Is the pow'r max a bigger tractor? He offerred me the tractor for another 500 bucks but said it quit running when he was trying to pull an oversize disc! He thinks its just a loose wire. No, it isn't out of gas. Do I roll the dice and take a chance on it? and will my rototiller, front bucket, etc fit the pow'r max? Also can you buy copies of the operators manual , parts manual etc. Thanks in advance for your help.

The 9020 is a powermax. All the powermax, A/C 616,620,720,etc. are the same tractor frame and the mower hook-up and tiller and such should interchange. What powermax does he have?Did you get the mule(pulley assembly)?thats what the mower hooks to and it hooks to frame. Do you have lift cables on yor 9020?Some of the manuals can be downloaded from the simple tractors-parts and manuals at top of page. A loose wire can cause the tractor to quit running along with hundreds of other things. Will the engine turn over?Is it getting fire to coil/plugs?Is it getting fuel to the carb?It could be something fairly simple or it may be locked down. check out the thread below about the 9020 differences.
