Belt Stops

Installed and properly adjusted Belt Stops are critically important to prevent gears from grinding or to stop implements from turning. Here's a visual example that may help you understand. OEM designed Belt Stops may be missing, bent, or improperly adjusted. A Belt Stop may be a simple piece of "bent heavy wire", or what appears to be a "belt shield".

Good post Dutch. Lots of people don't understand what these things do, so they discard them. Belts never run right without them. Not only do they need to be there, but they need to be adjusted correctly. Rod H.
