How do you store your tractors?

Hi everyone,Has anyone ever built a tractor stacking system ie a shelf or something so you could park another one underneath.I thought about this the other day and did some search's and only found these for cars. I think it would be cool to make up something like this to save space and/or to work on changing blades ect.I don't think a tractor would be so heavy that you could'nt use some kind of manual lift of some sort.I belive the car one's are hydraulic or electric lift.If you could find a jack system like on the front of a 5th wheel travel trailer. Anyone built something like this?I am thinking of trying to do something like it.Any Ideas? mowerman1193

There is a "lift" for working on garden tractors that is self powered. It is a platform with a rounded frame on the rear, and works much like the tilt bed trailers. When empty, it looks like a pair of ramps attached to a frame. You drive the tractor up the ramps, and it over centers to a flat platform. Should be fairly simple to build, and could be built high enough that one tractor could be parked underneath. Haven't been able to find one on the web. I believe I saw these in a trade magazine. Pat

Pat,I think I have seen the service lifts that you are talking about in a lawncare magazine that I get. They cost alot too for what amount of steel ect they have in them. mowerman1193

I remember the cost was outrageous for what you got, but it sure looked like a handy unit. I remember figuring to build one, and it seems that new steel was going to run between $80 and $100. One of those things I never got around to. Pat

I have seen racks for storing snowmobiles one above the other. I just checked my current snomo mags and did not see one in there. Another place to check. Good Luck! Mike S.
