Another question:

Does anyone know what is needed to use my old B-1 tiller
with the new tractor?

My tiller has the clutch and drive mounted on the hitch
pivot shaft. It also has the rod that pins into the
bracket on the PTO side of the bevel box. It looks like
this will not work with the new tractor.

Help please,
Roy

Yeah, what you need is a newer style tiller from a 7000/7100 ser.,the old B-1 wouldn't be wide enough first thing, unless you have the tine extension kit.And by the time you buy all the kits to convert it to the 7100 ser. you could have bought a good used tiller that will fit for much less and have a wider cut!! Good Luck!

DLC,

Regarding width: I have extra tines so it shouldn't be
too hard to add them for increased width but the 32"
is OK for me. I have been using it with wide rear tires
on the B-1 for several years.

Used tillers are hard to come by in my area. I want to
at least check out what parts are required before I
give up and buy another tiller.

Thanks,
Roy

Another issue with the older tiller on the new Soverein is pully speed. The size of the pullys determines the rotation speed of the tines. Which is engineered into the gear box of the tiller. Even if you could get it to fit, the speed will be way off. Used tillers show up here and other sites on the internet.

Later,

Joe
