AC 416H-Reverse

I just had my "New" old lawn tractor out in the field for a test drive. When I had to put the tractor in reverse and go up an incline, the tractor just sat there and did not move. When I brought it to level ground and put it in reverse, it went in revese easily. Is the most likely problem a slipping drive belt? or does it sound like a gear not functioning properly? Thanks for your help, Rick Carter

Rick First question. Did you check the fluid level? Second question. When was the last time the filter and fluid were changed? Anything free is worth what you pay for it This & $1.00 might get you a small Coffee Maynard aka/UCD

UCD, Thanks for your help. 1. I have not checked the fluid level. 2. I do not know when the fluid or filter were changed last. I will order a filter tomorrow. Would you also recommend a new belt? Thank, Rick Carter

Rick If the belt looks worn it wouldn't hurt to change it. Anything free is worth what you pay for it This & $1.00 might get you a small Coffee Maynard aka/UCD
