Karl_Brandt 6 Posted September 20, 1999 Hi Kent Are you going to have a Simplicity 2 wheel walk behind tractor "when made" section for the guys who collect them 1940's-1967. I have mostly simplicity 2 wheel behind tractors. This a good web site for AC & Simplicity tractor information. P.S It would be nice to see more information on the 2 wheel walk behind tractors. Kent 435 Posted September 20, 1999 Karl, I'd certainly like to add more, but I don't have much more to add. I have two late-1950's catalogs that have the walkers (L, W, etc.) courtesy of Iain McCowan and a CD with 1953(?)Owner's Manual on it, courtesy of Darryl Slattede. That's all I have. I hope to add them soon. Note that club members provide most of the info (I bought one box full to get started). Does anyone have any reference info on the walkers that they would share with the rest of the club? Kent
Kent 435 Posted September 20, 1999 In case you didn't notice... Thanks to Bob Tiarks, I've just added a new "When Made?" section that shows the Simplicity 4-wheeled tractor line, with manufacturer #s for the tractors and common attachments, by year, from 1957-1981. I think it will be a quite valuable resource. In addition to answering the frequently-asked question of "When was my tractor made?" it also provides a great starting point for determining which attachments will fit which tractors. As mentioned, it lists the most common attachments and MFR#s. You can then take this attachment MFR # to the "What Fits?" section (still in progress -- it's 90 pages long -- snow blades is next) and cross-reference it to other MFR#s of the same attachment to see which ones fit your tractor, with and without adaptor kits being required.... Again, thanks Bob for sharing this great info...[A href='http://www.simpletractors.com/Main/made_when.htm']http://www.simpletractors.com/Main/made_when.htm[/a]
Kent 435 Posted September 21, 1999 "THANKS BOB", I can't imagine the amount of work you put into your new section "when made". Infact a big "THANKS" to all that have worked so hard on this site besides "KENT".-->jackl-happyjack<--
