Briggs Horizontal Valve guides?

After looking at this 10HP Briggs Horizontal. I found the intake valve guide to be seated in the block a little higher than the exhaust valve guide (maybe 1/8"-1/4"). I was told this engine ran fine when I picked this up from the seller. The valves don't stick and it does have good compression. Question is would you take it apart and have this guide reseated or leave it alone and see how it runs when you got it on the tractor?

Try it first I have seen some aftermarket valve guides that were a little longer or shorter than the oem. ones. Ron Thomas #3
