B-207 Steering

The steering gears on my B-207 are slipping. The gear and pinion are not in that bad of shape, but there's some play in the holes in the frame. Anybody have a good/quick fix?

I would probably weld the hole shut and redrill it out the right size.Or drill it out larger and fit it with a brass bushing. One of my 717 Broadmoors is this way.Must be one of the weak points in this style tractor. mowerman1193

HI, Question, does this have the eccentric bolt in the center of the small gear to adjust it, like the old Landlords? Memory blank right now. Good Luck, Al Eden

Al, It does'nt have an eccentric bolt now, but that doesn't mean it never did. I'll check my manual. Paul
