Sunstar mower deck check plug

I pulled off the mower deck from my Sunstar for the winter, and I thought I should check the oil level in the gear box. But looking closely at the plug, it almost looks like a torx head rather than an allen head. Is the head rounded out, or do I need to purchase a torx socket? Thanks, John Dreher 1995 Sunstar, 46" deck
