newbee -gear oil change question

Im ignorant but want to do it right. I need to change the gear oil. I noticed there is a threaded plug on top and one on the bottom. The manual says to fill to level of the threads. Which threads? The top plug or bottom plug threads. The tractor is a 1965 Broadmoor. Also what is the capacity?? Manual says use 90 wt. Is that correct?

Wizzo, not positive on the broadmoor cuz I've never seen one, so I don't know if the tranny is the same style as my B series herd. If it is, there there should be 3 plugs, one to drain, one to fill, and one about axle level to check fuild level..MPH

MPH is right about the 3 plugs. Although the 3rd plug may look like jst a regular bolt. At least it does on the 3spd HD cast iron trans. Welcome to the club!:)
