I need some help in updating the history section. 1. Is "Agco-Allis" now gone in favor of just "Agco", if so what was the date of change? 2. What was the date of Soveriegn demise, was it June of 2000? 3. What were the production dates of the Sunstar, I currently have 1986 but I have been told that there were AC versions, which would have to be 1983 or 1984? Was it 1997 for the Legacy introduction? 4. Does anybody know precisely when Simp/Homelite production ended, was it 1975? And does that coincide with the Textron purchase of Jacobsen? What about the Jacobsen/Ford tractors with Simplicity tillers? Did Jacobsen use any other simplicity attachments? 5. I really need some help on Simplicity product evolution. Serf to 4200 series to ??? Yoeman to 5200 series to ??? Broadmoor to 6200 series to ??? 6. Years of production of Wards Powermax. We know about the Twin 20, was there such an animal as a Wards 953? could that have been the 16 hp version? 7. Also, if anyone can provide a little more detailed info on the Simplicity walkers I think that would be nice. I know nothing about them, wouldnt know one if I saw it. I will add that the model "W" used a Kohler engine. 8. Some additional info on the Duetz models? Were they just a continuation of the Allis models or were there some changes. 9. What was the exact year that Massey Fergusons became Simplicities? This is needed as some people come to our site and get mad because they can't find parts for their old Massey. Thanks

It was mentioned recently that Simplicity bought Snapper. There was a report in the Milwaukee Journal this past weekend that the sale has formally closed - it is a done deal. I am happy because the shop near my home is a Snapper dealer. Hopefully he can now get me Simplicity parts, too. (A year or 2 agom Simplicity stopped selling parts to dealers who were not formally part of their dealer system). Another chapter in Simplicity history is written! Tom

I can only provide insight on the first two, with any sense of accuracy. 1. Agco is officially the name, now, but I don't know the "official date" of the change. 2. The last Sovereign came off the production line in June 2000.
