20 vs. 25hp legacy

Hi, If you are mowing that much, I would think the 60" mower would be important. The 20hp liquid coold and the 25 Kohler both have the larger tires and the big DEEP deck. If you are looking at the 20 Kohler you would end up with a smaller deck and tires. Still a great tractor. It is up to you, as all are one "HELLUVA" unit. [You would not go wrong with either] Personally I like the big deck for big jobs. When I mow I like to see the grass fly and go just as fast as I can and not tear it out by the roots. Good luck, AL

I have 7 acres that I recently purchased for a homesite. It's fairly level, and I look to use the tractor mostly for cutting and using the blade for snow (occasional use of other pull behinds as I have to seed the yard. My question is: is the 20hp enough for this size yard, or should I move up to the 25hp? I'm considering the 20hp as it would leave me some $ for other attachments. Any thoughts would be most appreciated. Bob

You'll want that 60" deck for sure. The 20 Command is an older motor than the Kohler OHC used in the Sovereign. For the long haul you may want the water cooled Kawasaki, these have been used by John Deere for years (I'm not implying anything here, just that they have a good track record). They are also quieter. [A href='http://www.kawasaki.com/kengine/fd620d_specs.html'][img src='http://www.kawasaki.com/kengine/fd620d.jpg'][/a]
