What can it become???

Been wanting to drag this home for a couple years, for the hydralic stuff on it, with the engine outta the 4040 it became more important, need the point box off the Onan engine. Starter looks the same, engine model # is NH-MS/21288. Rough eyeballing it doesn't look much different the the CCK's. Anybody know this engine. It is supposely seized up, mostlikely cuz of rain getting down the muffler, time will tell on that.. The machine is a ditchwitch model VP 12. 4 wheel drive. MPH

MPH, If I am seeing correctly, this is a cable laying unit. Sometime back, Dutch was trying to come up with a way to lay irrigation piping. He might be interested in the plow unit from this machine if you use the rest on another project.

We had several ditch witch products as a kid, one very much like yours marty, two things seem to stick with me, posi traction, and very little turning radius, the plow on the back looks to be in good shape. Im not sure if they are even around anymore, good question for Les. Good luck. Doug

It has a very heavy duty looking hydralic steering system, with a cyl mounted horz, simial looking to a self propelled combine. The snows/ice is about melted off. The drive train is a pair of hydro motors on the rear with roller chains running up to the front wheels. There is a pair of u-joints there that look bigger then in my pickup. The line trencher supposely is new. MPH

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
