Montgomery Wards Tractor

A guy has a Montgomery Wards and a Sears lawn tractor that he needs out of his yard and will give to me for free. I haven't seen them yet but he told me the Wards is green. I know that the Simplicity wards are gold and that Gilson made Wards in orange. Does anyone know of any companies other than Simplicity and Gilson that made Wards tractors? I hope it is just a repainted Simplicity!

Chris is it probably a smaller steel stamped frame machine nothing fancy but they do get the job done..mike

My 61 Wards was orange just like the Simplicity. Gold came later.

Picked Up my Ward last week. IT is an MTD from the early 90's. It has a Briggs 16 twin, missing the mower deck, otherwise I think it will run and drive. Not a Simplicity but it isnt bad for free.

I had an early 70's Gilson and that thing was a tank. Sold it befor I found out what it was realy worth.

Chris, Wards sold a green lawn tractor around the late 80's to late 90's with the powerkraft label. These were lawn tractors made by MTD.
