toro with briggs

I have the chance/job of hauling away a toro riding lawn tractor with a 11HP briggs vertical shaft motor. Is it worth the time to salvage the motor or should I just haul it to the landfill? I have no Idea if anything is wrong with the tractor, but normally if tenant leaves something behind it's becouse it's broke.

There's broke, and there's "just waiting to be fixed". I find almost everything falls into the second category....^

I agree with Art. Maybe the prior owner wasn't handy. A little repair & sprucing to fund a SIMple project or implement. Toro has quite a following in the used market, at least up here...

If it helps you I got one of the same tractors last month. I Saved the engine for the starter/flywheel/charging system and hauled the rest to the junk guy....
