Mike I have a gut feeling its going not going to be that easy. First of all go to this website and download operators manual. http://www.kohlerengines.com/ads-cgi/viewer.pl/pdf/TP-2107-C-all.pdf I am taking a stab on what you have. If the K series went electronic like I have on the CH 20S, it will cost you a bunlde more then a coil. The flywheel will probably have to be changed along with getting a CD pack and a spark advance module. Then on the older engines I would think there is no mounting provision for the CD pack. Again I am taking a guess.

Mike, Bob is correct. Looking at my KT17 and my M20 which has electronic ignition. The KT17 (same as your KT19) does not have the mounting in the right side cylinder casting for the CD unit. It would require a new flywheel also.
