SNOWTHROWER

I'M GOING TO LOOK AT A USED SNOWTHROWER FOR MY TRACTOR. COULD ANYONE TELL ME THINGS TO LOOK FOR WHEN CHECKING OUT THIS SNOWTHROWER THAT COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE? ALSO, DOES ANYONE HAVE A PICTURE OF A TYPICAL HITCH SO I CAN SEE IF ANY SERIOUS PARTS ARE MISSING. OBVIOUSLY THIS IS MY FIRST SNOWTHROWER. ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. MARK

If you'll take that part # for the snowblower to this link, you can download the manuals for it, both Operator and Parts manuals, and it will show you all the hitch parts and how to install it. http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/techpubsearch.php The biggest mechanical thing to look for is the condition of the chain, sprockets and bearings in the snowblower's drive mechanism. You may want to pull the cover off to look at them closely, especially if you can feel a lot of slack or slop in the drive mechanism.
