New in 1957 Section Completed -- Is it 1957?

I've just completed what I'm assuming is the 1957 Simplicity catalog, courtesy of Iain McCowan. It shows the "suicide stick" Wonder-Boy, the models A, FC, and VB walkers and their attachments. It's a nice view of their attachments, by the way. Note that I'm still a bit confused. I'm not sure of the date of this catalog, since it has no dates. But according to the text, the Wonder-Boy was introduced the year before, which would have made the first Wonder-Boy a 1956 model... New for this year (whatever year it is) is a 2-speed transmission. But, this is still a 4HP model, prior to the introduction of 4.5HP and 5.75HP models that are listed in the Simplicity Tractors and Attachments Cross Reference and elsewhere as 1958 models. Yet, that same reference doesn't show a 1956 model Wonder-Boy.... Note that these two larger & later Wonder-Boys were still suicide-stick models when first introduced, according to another catalog that Iain provided.... I'm not sure when they changed the steering. Is this a 1957 catalog? When was the first Wonder-Boy, 1956 or 1957? Anyone know any more about this?[A href='http://www.simpletractors.com/simplicity/new_in_1957.htm']http://www.simpletractors.com/simplicity/new_in_1957.htm[/a]

Kent, the last page of [What's new in 1957] is the first page (only) of [What's new in 1983] [What's new in 1983] now has no first page. Also the 140KB warning on "my" 1983 page took like 2 seconds to download with this here broad-band TV cable connection from COX. Gotta love it. Anyhow, Great job !!!! F

I am also a little confused by the "What's New 1957" I have a tractor that according to the catalogue looks exactly like the Model FC, yet on the subsequent pages I know I have the Model A transmission rather than the one shown for the Model FC. My Dad bought this machine from a Montgomery Wards store in 1957 or 1958 (he doesn't remember). Thank you very much for posting the catalogue and the great graphic pictures of the attachments. I just cannot find a model number or serial number anywhere on this machine.
